Journey Insights Hub Dashboard includes many Widget options, but you do not need to use all of them. Begin with the question you want to answer, then choose the smallest combination of widgets that provides the necessary context, finding and evidence.
Choose a Widget group
Widget group | Use it to understand |
Text Box | What context the audience needs to interpret the dashboard |
Project | What data is included, how numeric results are distributed, and how text analysis project metrics vary across metadata |
AI Generated Widgets | What themes, changes, comparisons, or direct answers the AI Assistant identifies |
Volume | Which concepts are common, changing, or concentrated within a group |
Sentiment | How topics are discussed and how sentiment changes |
Drivers | Which concepts are associated with higher or lower numeric outcomes |
NPS Widgets | How NPS is distributed, changing, or different across groups |
The available widgets may depend on the text analysis project’s data and configuration.
Show text analysis project context
Project widgets provide the quantitative and metadata context surrounding the text analysis. Representative options include:
Average Score for an overall numeric result
Average Score over time for a trend
Number Metadata Breakdown for comparing numeric fields across groups
Qualitative Metadata Breakdown for showing the distribution of categorical values
Metadata Concept Volume for comparing topic reach across metadata
Metadata Sentiment Breakdown for comparing sentiment across metadata
Metadata Drivers Breakdown for comparing Drivers across metadata
Use these widgets when the audience needs to understand the size, composition, or scope of the data before interpreting the qualitative findings.
Use AI-generated widgets
AI-generated widgets can summarize the text analysis project, compare selected groups, or answer a focused question.
AI-generated summary
Use an AI-generated summary for a high-level overview of the entire text analysis project or a selected metadata breakdown. Place it near the beginning of the dashboard when the audience needs a concise introduction to the main findings.
AI-generated comparison summary
Use an AI-generated comparison summary when the main question involves differences between groups or periods. Place it beside the relevant comparison visualization so viewers can review the generated explanation alongside the supporting values.
AI prompt
Use an AI prompt widget when a general summary is too broad and you need an answer to a specific question, such as:
What are the most common problems?
How do experiences differ between the selected products?
What changed in negative feedback during this period?
What do customers value most about the service?
Write a focused question that can be answered using the records in the text analysis project. Avoid requesting external information or instructions for using the Journey Insights Hub interface.
Movement widgets
Widgets such as Largest Concept Movement, Largest Net Sentiment Movement, and Largest Drivers Movement help identify what changed between configured periods or baselines.
Use them for recurring reporting, product launches, operational changes, or other analyses where movement matters more than a single overall result.
Validate important changes against the applicable feature and source records.
Compare concept reach
Use Volume widgets when you need to show how widely topics appear.
Representative options include:
Volume for an overall concept comparison
Volume Over Time for trends
Share of Voice Over Time for comparing how topics contribute to the conversation
Share of Voice Over Time – Bubble for showing topic prominence through bubble size and color saturation
Compare Segments for an A/B comparison using bars or a scatter plot
Compare Periods for comparing concept volume between periods
Outlier Percentage for drawing attention to concepts outside an expected pattern
Use an active concept list when the dashboard should monitor an established set of business themes.
Show sentiment
Use Sentiment widgets to show how people discuss selected concepts.
Representative options include:
Sentiment for concept-level positive, negative and neutral results
Sentiment Over Time for changes in sentiment
Overall Sentiment for a high-level sentiment view
Always consider sentiment together with concept volume. Strong sentiment based on few matches should not be presented as equivalent to a pattern supported by a large portion of the text analysis project.
Show association with outcomes
Drivers widgets connect concepts with a numeric outcome.
Representative options include:
Drivers Difference from Average for showing how concept-associated scores differ from the text analysis project average
Drivers Over Time for tracking changes in those relationships
Impact Score for presenting configured concept impact
Impact Score Comparison for comparing impact across groups or periods
Drivers widgets require a suitable numeric field. Describe the selected outcome clearly and avoid presenting association as causation.
Add NPS analysis
NPS widgets can show the current score, distribution, comparison, or trend.
Standard NPS categories are:
Detractors: Scores 0–6, displayed in red
Passives: Scores 7–8, displayed in grey
Promoters: Scores 9–10, displayed in blue
NPS widgets do not require a date field unless the selected widget analyzes NPS over time.
Include supporting records
Use Records View to show records behind a finding. Records can give the dashboard necessary qualitative context, but do not select a quotation only because it is dramatic. Confirm that it reasonably represents the wider pattern.
Build a balanced dashboard
A useful dashboard often combines:
One context widget
One summary or headline metric
One comparison or trend
One qualitative analysis widget
One source-evidence or explanatory element
Choose widgets because they work together to answer the dashboard’s question.
