Sharing and Exporting Journey Maps

Connect the siloes, work together and drive collaborative journey management

Updated over 2 months ago

When working in Cemantica, you’re not limited to keeping your Journey Maps private. You can easily share them with others in your organization or export them for reporting and offline use.

Sharing a Journey Map

You can share a Journey Map with:

  • Team members – Collaborators who can access, edit, and contribute to the map

  • Read-only users – Viewers who can see the map but cannot make changes

How to share a map

  1. Click Share in the top-right corner of the map.

  2. Select the team member you want to share the Journey Map with.

  3. Assign a Role:

    • Owner – Full control, including managing permissions.

    • Contributor – Can comment and collaborate on the map.

    • Viewer – Read-only access.

  4. Click Update to confirm.

The selected user will receive an email invitation with a link to access the Journey Map.

Sharing ensures that stakeholders have the visibility they need, whether they’re actively building the journey or simply reviewing progress.

Exporting a Journey Map

In addition to sharing online, you can export your Journey Maps for use outside Cemantica.

Supported export formats:

  • PDF – Ideal for presentations and easy-to-read reports

  • Excel – Best for data analysis and structured review

  • CSV – Useful for importing into other systems or tools

When exporting, you can also choose which details to include (for example: Personas, Lanes, Insights, Touchpoints). This flexibility ensures you only export what’s relevant to you.

The benefits of sharing and exporting your Journey Maps

  • Keep your team aligned by granting the right level of access

  • Share maps with stakeholders who don’t have full user permissions

  • Reuse your Journey Map data in other tools for further analysis
